Here are a few examples:
Rental
Rental is the most common financing form for IT equipment and is best suited to companies looking to renew their technology according to a set timetable. Usually the financing runs over three years, but there may be good reasons to sign up for longer or shorter periods.
After the end of the rental contract, the user can choose either to return, purchase or continue renting for a new period. If the customer chooses to return the equipment, Pedab Finance will help in wiping the equipment of all data if it is to be sold on. If it is to be recycled, we will handle it in an environmentally sensitive way.
Leasing
Leasing applies where the customer feels that the equipment has an economic lifetime beyond the agreed financing period. In contrast to rental, leasing means that the customer undertakes to purchase or find another purchaser for the equipment. The purchase price is based on the residual value, which often lies between 1% and 10%.
Framework agreement
The framework agreement is an administrative tool that can be used for leasing and rental. This arrangement meets the needs of anyone who purchases products on an ongoing basis and requires financing. The agreement involves the customer regularly ordering from the reseller, who then invoices Pedab Finance. A sub-agreement starts each quarter and runs for the agreed period. The agreement has clearly defined processes and therefore simply requires one signature a year to deal with the whole matter.
Insurance
Normal business insurance policies are not created for IT equipment. They often have a base amount for the excess and then pay out according to their depreciation curve. For IT equipment that often comprises many smaller units, this kind of solution is a disaster. We provide IT insurance with an excess of SEK 0–30,000 per claim and always pay out the corresponding amount.
